Last week I was commissioned by German magazine ZEIT Magazin to shoot an intimate portrait of Tom, the grandson of Hilka Rüggeberg. Hilka, now 98, confronts her grandchildren and the public to tell the story of how she became a convinced National Socialist as a young woman in Germany during 1942-45.
The story is written by Laura Cwiertnia and shot in Bremen by the wonderful Julia Sellmann, with Tom’s portraits shot by me. Shot on both digital and film.
